I am widowed, TOO LONG, My marriage was fun and good. I can truthfully say that my best and happiest time in my life was when I was married. I
would truly enjoy being in love and married again.
I am 5" 6", 185 pounds, working on 165. I spent my childhood in Knoxville, Tennessee. Spent four years with the
US Air Force in Biloxi teaching RADAR/electronics school. I bought my first sailboat in Biloxi and learned to sail after work and weekends.
After the Air Force, I Graduated from the University of Tennessee Electrical Engineering college. (BSEE)
Married my high school sweetheart and moved to California to work for
Autonetics, a division of the North American Aviation Company. NAA is
now a part of Boeing Aircraft.
My work was in the RADAR and computer design field. My family and I
traveled to many places during my stay with Autonetics. The best was a
two year consulting position in Torino (Turin) Italy for NATO.
After settling back into the normal life in California and readjusting to the California life style, We bought an acre of property on Beach Blvd in the fair city of Stanton. After attempting to lease the property for a gas station or a fast food restaurant, we decided to build and open our own restaurant.
We built a nice place that was real pine varnished walls, oak floors exposed beam ceilings with real wagon wheel lights and a big brick fire place. We had 40 bar stools and 125 settings at booths and tables and chairs, We opened the place as the Fire Side Inn and it bombed.
As this was 1963, the girly bar craze was just starting. After much thought and discussion, we changed the name to The "Imp" and changed the barmaids to sexy outfits. We served Coors on tap and made great fresh pizza of all varieties. The place had two pool tables in the back part of the bar. Ralph Kruze that owned the Wild Goose in Los Angeles was our mentor and friend.
We kept the place clean, had very attractive employees in sexy costumes, served good food at reasonable prices and had cold beer that just never stopped. The change in name and the sexy costumes changed the place from a loser to a winner. My wife ran the place and did very well. I continued to work at Autonetics.
The worst thing that has ever happened was my wife died, without warning, of a heart attack at the age of 34.
I was placed in the situation of a single parent with two daughters. They did a good job of raising me to suit their needs. I was able to get a word in now and then.
After the death of my wife, I sold the business and kept the property in 1967. Due to lack of payments, I was forced to repose, rebuild and restart a new restaurant called The Barn. The Barn specialized in low cost Top Sirloin dinners. The place did well, but not anything fantastic. My friend Ralph Kruize helped me obtain a cocktail license. I redecorated and changed the name to the Rusty Nail. As a restaurant/cocktail lounge, the place did well.
I tried various entertainments, bands and different ploys in an attempt to fill the place every day with customers. The only thing that worked was good food and good drinks at reasonable prices. The location did not provide any inducement for patronage.
I sold the place in 1974 and discounted the notes to Ed Parker the owner of the Vista Paint Company. Ed and his family were good customers. As far as I know, Ed still owns the property. The place is now a dive that I stay away from.
My daughters and I was very happy to be out of the restaurant business. After selling the Rusty Nail, we made the decision to go cruising and to charter our boat in the United States Virgin Islands. We constructed the Good Ship Lusty and sailed down, went through the Panama Cannel and settled in St Thomas. We did very successful family charters that specialized in SCUBA diving and attempting to fulfill the various fantasies of our charter guest.
My daughters and I sailed our boat, the good ship "Lusty" down the coast of central America and through the Panama Canal to the Caribbean and spent three years in the US and British Virgin Islands. We spent about one year sailing to the Caribbean. We stopped and visited all the fun places on the way. SCUBA diving, exploring, making new friend and we also did some chartering. I became a PADI instructor. Having guests aboard was generally fun, but it was too much work. The diving was and still is fantastic. We traveled and dove most all of the Caribbean Islands.
In 1982, we grew tired of parting almost daily, having little or no privacy and sailed back to California and jumped into the old grind. To pay the bills when we were settled back in Newport Beach, I worked as a big motor Yacht skipper for awhile. Skippering others yachts was not my greatest joy, so I went back to my old profession, computers.
I enjoy the Tropics, the warm weather is great, California water is cold in relation to the Tropics. In the Tropics water is clean and warm, (You have to get at least 15 to 30 miles off shore in California to go swimming in clean water). I very much enjoy living or vacationing at Latitudes below 18 degrees.
About 1985, I started a software company that generated Interactive Voice Response and Computer to telephone interface. At the time, we were pushing the state of the art. We created many very good programs. Some of the computer auto attendants now in use makes me want to deny that I had any part in the industry.
About 1995, I started work on the Product we now call BioMagic. The BioMagic Company is my present mill stone hanging around my neck.
The girls are now living their own life. Dear old Dad is living his own life for the first time in years.
Now The world has changed so much in my lifetime
that I really wonder what the place will be like in another 20 years. Both of my girls have lives of their own now, both love to travel, sail and both are successful and creative. No grand kids, neither has married, so I am not a grand pa, I am happy with what ever the girls desire.
My
life is based on honesty and respect. Sometimes I fear that these traits have disappeared along with big band music. I looked in the mirror last week and said, who in the world is that old fart, and then I realized that I am old and getting even older. Being older in years does not change much except we are supposed to be wiser.
Along with getting more experienced, I have developed the traits that I have found through years that I enjoy the most. Most people do the same. I still believe in Morals and Honesty.
I find that one of the things I miss these days is the company of a warm and loving
lady and that we can have intelligent vocal intercourse (pun) and have fun playing boat or house.
Activities that I miss a lot, by being singles, are the sharing activities, holding, cuddling, kissing and the wonderful joys of sex with a loving mate.
I find that, in a loving relationship, the more I do, the more I get back. I sure wish that the whole world worked the same way.
I am probably the one of the most honest and uninhibited males you will
ever meet. I am proud to say that all the original parts are in place
and work almost as good as ever. I have to take blood pressure
medication now.
Everything has settled or drooped a bit and I need more
sleep now. If you are up tight about nudity, sex and the intimacy that
is the normal in a loving relationship, we will never make it as a
couple. I do not believe in publicizing my private life, however for
this, as I am attempting to pre-sort the ladies I meet. I am telling
more than normal.
Suits and ties gathered dust in the closet so long that they went to charity. As an
old codger, I can get away being casual in business.
I am not into the religious or political things. I have done my part to
save or destroy the world, now is the time to just enjoy what is left. I do believe that I can still help protect our environment. My company manufactures products to clean up human and animal waste.
I do believe that a undefined higher intelligence put the magic of our world together. The man made cults commonly called organized religion has little attraction or meaning.
My car is a gas, semi-efficient mid-sized truck. (Wish it was diesel) It
works fine for my work and working on the boat. My boat is very fuel
efficient diesel and my family and I are considerate of the environment.
I love challenges, designing, building, exploring, learning and experiencing new cultures.
As a young man, I served in the USAF. My enlistment was for four years.
Back then, (the fifties) the whole operation was very cordial. I served
my term as a teacher in the Electronics school in Biloxi Miss. I
purchased my first sailboat while in the Air Force and learned to sail
around Biloxi Miss.
The boat was designed to pull a shrimp net, round bottom, center board,
large gaff sail, very tender. I named the boat "Apt to Tilt" and it
did. In the background, the boat at the dock is or was a Biloxi Shrimp
boat. The owner (Dewey Garlotte) allowed me the opportunity to learn
about catching (Hard work) and cooking shrimp My Current boat The Good Ship Lusty. To see photos of Lusty in retrofit, go to the menu index below.

Paul in Bangkok on business 2001.
The hat keeps the sun off so the skin does not cook.
I do a bunch of things for fun. I build computers, fix things, solve
problems, I worked most of my adult life in the computer programming
field.
One of my fun things I enjoy is, I design, build boats and go
sailing, I also ride a bike, enjoy photography and video, a good glass
of wine, cuddling with my lady, I enjoy movies that are happy and fun
movies (without guns and explosions) that entertain, not depress, (I do
not go to the movies these days nor watch the premium channels on TV, (too much hate),
Cooking a romantic dinner for two is fun, exploring to find a new fun
activity, new friends, and much more.
I can live without golf, football or baseball, standing in line, crowded and noisy
places, places that smell foul and are full of plastic people. I do not have near
as many hang ups as some folks. I do not have religious needs, I
require a low fat diet, but eat most anything,
I believe that sex is healthy and normal, I believe that whatever is mutually enjoyable to
lovers is normal. I enjoy going first class, but will go tourist or
lower without a problem.
I do find that ladies that take care of themselves, are active and are not what is
described as Big Big Women (BBW) are more fun to be with and are safer on a
sailing boat.
I would rather spend one-on-one time in a nice quiet place with a lady as to be locked in to a mass of humanity at some highly publicized money grubbing event. I
totally enjoy "good music" and enjoy musical events that provide a joy
to the ears. I still believe that the production of music requires talent, not just a guitar and a drum. A
blend of musical instruments operated by talented people producing "music" is a joy to behold.
DANCING....My wife did not like to dance. She had so many other fun activities on the
menu that we never made learning to dance a priority. As a result, I
still have three left feet. I enjoy watching good dancers perform, but
I just do not have the natural rhythm to be a good dancer.
RELIGION... Really
religious (people mostly) scare me. as they are not well informed and they
believe and do what they are told to believe. They believe that they can be
forgiven for most anything or believe that they will be rewarded for
doing as they are told by other humans.
I do believe that Jesus lived and taught the world a new religion that created the Christian religion. I have not found evidence of a merciful God that watches over and guides the human race. I see the results of many years of people spinning and fitting religion to what they feel and need.
When I observe the human body and all of the marvelous creations in our world, it is difficult to believe that this all just happened. So it is easy to believe in a superior power or God if you wish to equate the superior power to a human form.
People have taken the teaching of Jesus and molded his philosophy and new religions imto many variations. Now more people die over religious differences than disease. The disharmony amongst the various religions should make people reject the many variation that have been created for various reasons, mostly power and wealth. Instead they fight wars to attempt to bring other into feeling and believing the same as they do.
Many people need religion as a prop or crutch to guide them in life. We should never do anything to destroy the faith that they strongly believe. It is totally possible to be moral and honest with out a religious connection. Tolerance is part of teaching of Jesus, we all need to study the real basis of the Christian faith. We just need to disregard the exaggerations and spin that was started in the era of superstition and ignorance and still continues today.
I enjoy the study of the history of religion as it is the history of the development of our
civilization and is very enlightening. Some time, if you wish, we can share a bottle of wine and I will tell you some history of how we came to do and be as we are.
BUSINESS... I am making the world smell good and eliminate the waste
generated by the massive number of people and animals that now populate
the world.
Selling BioMagic and having a Web Site that is visible to the whole world takes me places
that I have wanted to visit for years. I am selling BioMagic in many
countries, British Columbia, Canada, Hawaii, Japan, New Zealand, OZ (Australia), England, Holland and more new places all the time. For more information, go to the BioMagic in
